Historical Services
Providing professional historical-services for genealogy, local history, archival research, and heritage projects.
Who I am
With a doctoral background in contemporary history and years of experience working in archival, research and publication settings, I support clients with reliable, expert and transparent historical services. I am based in Bavaria (Germany) and work internationally — comfortable dealing with documents in German, Latin and English, and experienced in bridging continental-European and Anglo-American heritage contexts.
What I do
My services are designed for individuals, institutes, associations, heritage organisations or families seeking specialist historical support. Key offerings include:
- Transcription of historic documents: Accurate rendering of handwritten manuscripts, registers, church books, letters or diaries. I convert handwritten or printed historical records into clear, searchable text in the desired language.
- Archival & genealogical research: Custom investigations in archives, libraries and digital collections — e.g., family history, local-history projects, community heritage, social-history studies, and “hidden” or under-researched sources.
- Advisory & consultancy work: Strategic and methodological guidance on archival usage, heritage-projects, publication preparation, local-history narratives, and bridging German/European source-contexts with English-speaking audiences.
- Chronicle & publication support: Assistance with structuring and producing chronologies, monographs or articles for academic or popular uses — from source-work to polished text.
Why choose these services?
- Specialist expertise: Doctorate in contemporary history, combined with practical experience in historical research and publications.
- Cross-cultural capability: Based in Germany, yet accustomed to international / English-language projects and able to assist clients whose roots, interests or sources cross national boundaries.
- Flexible, client-focused approach: I offer tailored quotes, transparent communication, and free initial assessments of your project’s scope and feasibility.
- Reliable outcomes: Whether you aim for a family-history narrative, a local-history volume, or archival transcripts, you’ll receive professionally-prepared deliverables suited for further publication or use.
